We watched it on TV over and over again.

Swivel Sweeper

The swivel sweeper glides around the floor and picks up the dirt.

It swivels around to reach inaccessible areas.

It is so light that it can be carried anywhere.

How good is the Swivel Sweeper?

We bought one and used it for several months to see how effective it is.

The Swivel Sweeper consists basically of four rotating brushes connected to a small motor, which sweep the dirt inside a container.

The assembly is pretty straightforward and within minutes it is ready to work.

We are not too pleased with the materials used for the construction of the equipment. It looks like cheap workmanship and it feels like it will break easily.

When we switched it on we were surprised at the loud noise it makes. On the TV ads, it sounded so quiet; people could talk to each other while the sweeper was being used. The reality is that it is very noisy and it will certainly disturb a sleeping baby, contrary to what the ad says.

The Swivel Sweeper performs fairy well on bare floor and carpet. It does pick up dirt and particles due to its high-speed rotating brushes.

It maneuvers very well due to its light weight. It is good for a quick cleaning of the area.

But it will not replace a vacuum cleaner or a mop. These would still be needed if you want to keep your floor dust free.

Durability of the Swivel Sweeper

After three months the Swivel Sweeper stopped working.

The plastic gear which was connected to the rotating brushes was worn out. There is no replacement for that part. The whole head needs to be changed.

Recommendation

Our conclusion is that the Swivel Sweeper is not robust enough to handle heavy cleaning for a long time. It is fragile and will probably break often.

The Swivel Sweeper would have been a great product if it was made of better material with a quiet motor.

The rechargeable battery should be of the standard sizes like AA or AAA. It will then be easily replaceable should it become defective. The present battery is only available at the supplier.

We believe the concept of the Swivel sweeper is very good. Let us hope the manufacturer will introduce an improved version with better material, a quieter and robust motor.

If you just want to do a quick cleaning the Swivel Sweeper is fine.

We just purchased the swivel sweeper. We haven’t had it long enough for anything to break, however, I agree that it’s definitely NOT very quiet and would wake a sleeping baby. Further, when I tried to use it on the bath mats in the bathroom, the sweeper turned over - completely on it’s top! Not very good for this kind of rug. Also, small particles, like bird seed, tends to come out while you’re using it on a different area (before it’s too full and needs emptying). So far, I think it works well on small, quick fixes, so to speak. Also, they really get you with the shipping charges! Over $30 in shipping. My total cost was over $69! It’s a nice idea, but I agree, it needs some perfecting!

I purchased the Swivel Sweeper and would not recommend it for anyone with long hair or pets. After about 4 passes it quit working. So I looked at the brushes and they were full of hair from myself and my two dogs and cat. In fact, it took me longer to remove all of the hair than it would have to drag out my big vaccum. A clever concept but needs much improvement. When trying to empty it you better be standing over the trash can or most of it will fall on the floor again. Very noisy too. Not POWERFUL brushes like the commercial shows either. Overall, I am not satisfied at all. A waste of good money.

My swivel sweeper just filled up with hair. I took it apart at the corners and found that hair had entered the gear boxes and wrapped tightly around the shafts. This had reduced usability to maybe 3 minutes. Once I removed the hair, it was like hitting the turbo button. However, 2 of the gears were completly broken and now only 3 of the four brush bars work. Definately not durable. Needs to have more specific replacement parts avaialable. We love it having hardwood floors. It comes in handy with three little ones making messess. But the hour of maintenance it needs once a month is a bit tedious.

Got the product and was very impressed. Don’t be fooled, it’s written on the box, electric wireless broom, not vacuum. It replaces the need to bend down to take the dirt and throw it in trash after putting half of the dirt on the sides. It’s true that it’s does a lot of sound.
