Here’s a tip for all of you TomTom GPS users (who do not ‘yet’ have the cool new GO 720) on how to figure out the street you are currently on.
Unless you have the new TomTom GO 720, the street you are currently on is not displayed on the Driving View screen of previous models of TomTom GPS devices. Only the next street is displayed.
However, on these devices, you can still see which street you are currently on by simply tapping on your Driving View screen to bring up the Main Menu.
Now, look at the bottom left corner. There, the screen displays “Current position:” followed on the next line by the street you are currently on (in our example, it is “Eglinton Ave W”).
