How many times have we taken pictures of people with their eyes closed? Some people have the gift to synchronize their eyes to blink just as the shutter is activated.
The result is an unflattering picture of a sleeping person.
Pentax Optio V20 has a “Blinking Detection” feature, which indicates whether the people blinked when the photo was taken. Another picture can immediately be taken. No more closed-eye person!
The Pentax Optio V20 also has a “Smile Capture†function that determines smiles and photographs them automatically.

To make matter still easier Pentax Optio V20 has a “Face Recognition AF&AE†function, that automatically detects and focuses on faces, and sets the optimum exposure. You now have a sharp bright picture of a smiling person with his or her eyes wide opened.
The Pentax Optio V20 is a 8-megapixel compact digital camera (145 g) with a 5X optical zoom, which is equivalent to 36-180mm.
It’s 3.0-inch LCD monitor has a viewing angle of 170 degrees and is coated with an AR (Anti-Reflection) coat that suppresses outside light and reduces reflections, making it more easily viewable outdoors.
The ‘Digital Shake Reduction’ feature compensates not just for the shaking hands, but also for moving subjects too. If your hands are shaking during the play back of the images it will compensate for those movements too.
The Auto Picture mode automatically assess the conditions and choose the best settings based on the mode set by the user - Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, Normal, and newly adopted Flower and Sports mode.
The camera has 52MB of built-in memory, and an Auto-Macro mode that allows close-up photography.
The Pentax Optio V20 has a recommended price of US$300.
With the Pentax Optio V20 you have no excuse for a failed shot.
