Nikon D80 DSLR

Nikon has announced the new Nikon D80 Digital SLR camera, a replacement to the hugely popular Nikon D70s.

Improvements over the Nikon D70s include: 10.2 MP resolution using the Nikon DX format for wide dynamic range [i.e. it is able to capture more detail in the shadows and highlights], a new 12-bit Image Processing Engine for fast operations [instant 0.18 sec. start-up with fast 80ms shutter response], an improved 2.5-in. LCD Monitor with wide-angle viewing, and a larger and brighter viewfinder.
