Imagine a car consuming only 1.5 litres of fuel for 100 km. That’s about 157 mpg.
Loremo LS will make its debut at the Motor show at Geneva on March 2 - 12, 2006. This elegant 4 seats sport car has a 2-cylinder 20 HP turbodiesel engine with a top speed of 160 km/h.
The Loremo GT has a 3-cylinder 50 HP turbodiesel engine and can reach up to 220 km/h. It however consumes a bit more - 2.7 l/100 km.
The idea of designing an environmentally friendly car based purely on maximized efficiency originated from Uli Sommer in Germany in 1993. The low fuel consumption has been achieved by reducing the weight of the vehicle to its bare minimum and improving its aerodynamics to the maximum. The car weighs 450 kg only.
To access inside the car a frontal door opens forward infront of the seats. Safety has been a key issue during the design of the car.

The Loremo LS would cost about Eur 10,990 (US$ 13,000) while the Loremo GT would be about Eur 14,990 (US$ 18,000).
