After the release of the impressive Nokia N82 mobile phone a few weeks ago LG Electronics unveiled the LG KU990 Viewty mobile phone.
This is a phone with a 3.0″ LCD touchscreen with an interface somewhat similar to the iPhone. It has full internet browsing and can connect online at 3.6 Mbps with HSDPA. The URL input can be handwritten.
Similar to Nokia N82 LG KU990 Viewty mobile phone has a 5.0-mega pixel camera with the powerful Xenon flash. Using its SmartLight technology and the highly sensitive ISO 800 the camera can take bright pictures indoors and even at night. Its optical lens is from the famous Schneider Kreuznach.
The camera has both Auto or Manual focus and an Image Stabilizer to prevent blurry or shaky picture shots. The picture can be personalized by writing on it with an attached stylus or with the finger.
Most impressive perhaps is its ability to shoot High-Speed video clips at 120 fps, resulting in superb images at slow motion. The video clips can be uploaded instantly to Youtube. That’s why it has been nicknamed the YouTube phone.
The phone is also capable of DivX playback, which can be displayed on a TV with the optional TV out cable accessory.
It can also display TXT, PDF, DOC (Word), PPT (PowerPoint) and XLS (Spreadsheet) files.
The LG KU990 Viewty Mobile Phone exhibits features exceeding that of conventional digital cameras and will be available in late November in Europe, Asia and Australia.
