It’s not clear what the company had in mind when they launch iTaser, a 50,000 volt charge taser with … a MP3 player.
One of the image projected is to neutralize a person while enjoying your favorite tune.
Or enjoy your music and feel safe.
It appears Taser International wants to popularize its product by adding a MP3 player to it. Suddenly the taser gun seems to lose its scary aura and becomes more acceptable in public’s eyes.
Carrying a taser gun means that you are a scared person and you need a defensive weapon but carrying a MP3 taser is totally different. It means you are not a scared person, you just happen to carry a MP3 player, like millions other people, do and a taser was simply incorporated in it.
However this can have devastating consequences if everyone starts walking the streets with a MP3 taser. It almost sounds like the Wild Wild West .. where anyone can pull out his taser gun to use it upon someone he or she doesn’t like. Imagine a classroom filled with kids with MP3 taser guns. You better be careful if you are a teacher.
How come the gun manufacturers never thought about that? A gun with MP3 integrated or better an automatic machine gun with MP3. Wouldn’t it be great to kill someone while listening to some music? It would certainly be more fun for the soldiers to fire their automatic guns on the enemies to the rhythm of the music.
Taser guns have killed people by accident and in the wrong hands can be greatly misused. Imagine you are walking on the street and suddenly you felt a sharp pain at your back and you fell down paralyzed. A young man stooped by your side, took out your wallet and disappeared. You have just been robbed by someone with a taser gun.
Taser guns are very dangerous and should not be pictured as harmless and fun to use through association with MP3.
