HOW GOOD IS THE iROBOT ROOMBA 5300? Is it better than the previous generation?
The answer is yes! iRobot Roomba 5300 performs better.
It does not get entangled in rugs but it would push it around if it is light. It does slow down when it comes near an object.

We tested the Roomba in several rooms and every time we checked the dirt compartment we are surprised at the amount of dust it collected. On the first trial the room was already mopped. Still it managed to collect dirt and dust.

The iRobot Roomba 5300 is perfect to clean under the bed, an area which often gets neglected. Even though it does not clean a room perfectly it does a great job overall.
Removal of the dirt compartment is easy. Simply press the button and it will slide off. The dirt is then dumped inside a bag or a garbage bin. The rollers and the plastic squeezes are easy to remove. The filter can be taken off and cleaned.
The weaknesses of iRobot Roomba 5300 are that it is unable to clean corners and its rotating brush sometimes flings the light dirt in the air.
Given enough time the cleaning robot will get the area cleaned. Wires and light rugs should be removed. Chairs should also be taken out of the way if possible. It will help the robot to clean faster.
