Googling is easy. But googling efficiently is not.
We can spend hours googling and still do not get the results we want.
When you have 2,176,850,785 sites to check out, you know you will be dead by the time you finished going over all these sites.

So how do we google so that we get what we want in the least possible time.
- Choose the key words that express what you are looking for.
- Don’t include words such as ‘of’ or ‘to’, nor capital letters, Google cares little for grammar.
- Put double quote marks around a phrase and Google will look for all the words you’ve typed, e.g “Boston Legal”.
This will eliminate any websites which do not contain those exact words. - Get scholarly pages about a subject by searching for intitle: “Solar heater”site:edu.
- If you need to convert something, e.g how much 20 celsius is in fahrenheit, just type 20 C in F and it will convert it for you. It’s the same if you want to convert one currency to another.
- Find which pages are linking to your Web page or to another page you’re interested in. For example, try typing in link:http://www.spotshoppingguide.com.
- If you are looking for someone’s phone number just enter a name, city, and state. The city is optional, but not the state.
If a phone number matches the listing, you’ll see it at the top of the search results along with a map link to the address.
We hope those few guidelines will help in your googling. If you have other google tips, drop us a line.
