Blackberry Bold

7:42 am EDT on Mon May 12 2008

The latest move by RIM to strengthen its core base of business users and to increase its market’s share among retail consumers is its launch of its high-end Blackberry, the Blackberry Bold, this summer.

The new Blackberry Bold comes with a 624-MHz processor and supports high-speed HSDPA cellular networks. It has WiFi, integrated GPS and a host of multimedia features.

The Blackberry Bold features the most vivid display ever on a BlackBerry, a 2-megapixel camera with video recording capability, and a media player for watching movies and managing music collections.

With its built-in GPS capabilities, and BlackBerry® Maps, you get turn-by-turn directions, so you can locate your exact position and where your destination is.

The Backberry Bold will be on the market this summer and will cost between $300 and $400.

Will the Blackberry Bold be a threat to the iPhone?

The iPhone appeals to a different group of consumers and from the formal look of the Blackberry Bold it is very unlikely that they will shift over in spite of all its multimedia features. Similarly it’s hard to conceive businessmen using an iPhone.

Both iPhone and Blacberry target different market segments and overlapping will be minor.

Are Wines Healthy?

9:38 am EDT on Thu May 8 2008

In the Bible the apostle Paul recommended Timothy to drink a little wine to improve his health. Was he right?

Research has found that red wine in particular can lower the risk of heart disease, provide protection against stroke and prevent pancreatic cancer.

Does it mean all red wines are good? Do the health benefits extend to white wines and rosé also?
