It is interesting that the most popular keyword is a word that did not exist 15 years ago.

Most would have thought the most popular word would contain the word sex or love but keyword researchers found that the three most popular keywords are:

1. Google
2. Yahoo
3. Ebay

It’s ironic all 3 words did not exist a generation ago. Yet today they are the most searched, used and popular words on the internet.

Google has become a word of its own. It is replacing the word search.  How often do we hear – why don’t you google it?

Although Yahoo’s search engine was older than that of Google, the word Yahoo never attained the prominence of  Google and was unable to develop into a verb.

Ebay on the other hand has become synonymous to bargain buying and selling.  If you are looking for a bargain, go to ebay. The fact that the word ebay is so popular indicates that people are constantly searching for things to buy or sell.

The internet is like a genie which has come out of the bottle and cannot be put back inside again.

Facebook and twitter are also becoming very popular keywords and could challenge and displace ebay, yahoo and even google, although this appears to be very unlikely.

Buzz is another potential keyword to watch. Google is trying to popularize it and if it succeeds, it might become a new verb.

If you buy groceries or if you like camping you would probably need a cooler, especially if the climate is warm.

There are 2 reasons why we use a cooler:

1. To prevent the food to deteriorate
2. To enjoy cool drinks

There are different types of coolers on the market.

There are box or chest coolers, bags or soft-sided coolers and powered coolers.

Which one is actually the best cooler?

Bag or Soft-Sided Coolers

Most people when they go to work use a bag cooler to keep their lunch. They are small, light and convenient.

They have a small layer of insulation to prevent heat or cold to go through.

Bag coolers or soft-sided coolers are fine if they are used for only a short period of time.

They are not very effective because the insulation is relatively thin. They are mostly used as a lunch bag.

Box or Chest Coolers

Box coolers or ice chests are much better in keeping the content cold. Many use several inches of polystyrene or polyurethane as insulation material.

Others use air space to act as insulator which is not as effective.

Chest coolers are heavier and more durable. They come in different sizes and some even with wheels to improve mobility.

Thermoelectric Coolers

The Electric or Thermoelectric Coolers are similar to box coolers but much smaller. They have a small refrigeration unit which plugs into the car cigarette lighter to operate.

They not only insulate but they also cool the content. That means, you don’t need to put ice inside. Their cooling capacity is however weak.

The problem with those type of coolers is that they are not recommended to run in a closed area. That means, they should not be operated inside a vehicle.

That defeats somewhat its purpose. Still it is very useful for camping or picnic, where there is no ice or source of refrigeration. We will deal with those electric coolers in another review.

The dream of almost every guy is to have his own movie theater at home. This is now made possible with the latest home theater projectors, which are very powerful and yet affordable.

Even with the biggest TV (70″) available on the market the image size is relatively small compared to a movie screen. Although it is quite impressive the immersion effect is not fully there.

The only way to achieve that is through projection, which can cover an entire wall. The image size would depend on the distance between the projector and the screen.

The only problem with that is the poor image quality as the distance increases. The bigger the image the dimmer it becomes. Sharpness and details suffer.

With the advent of new projectors specifically designed for movie projection image quality improved drastically. The projector lamps become more powerful resulting in increased brightness and contrast.

HD projectors are capable to display 720p, some up to 1080p. The higher the pixels the better the image quality.

The differences between LCD and DLP projectors are narrowing. The weaknesses they use to exhibit are disappearing.

It doesn’t really matter too much which type you choose, the most important is the quality of the image and how much it would cost you to use it.

The projector lamps have a life between 1000 and 4000 hours. They will dim with time and eventually burn out. It means, you can watch over 500 movies before you need to replace it.

The projector lamps can cost between $150 to $1,000. It is therefore important to know how much the lamp costs before making the purchase.

However chances are great that by the time the lamp dies out, you might want to buy a new one as the theater projector would have become more sophisticated.
